Pfeiffer Women's Soccer Falls on Senior Day
MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Oct. 25, 2025) — The Pfeiffer University's women's soccer team fell behind early and couldn't recover, dropping a 4-1 Senior Day decision to Mary Baldwin on a cool Saturday afternoon at Lefko-Mills Field.
Mary Baldwin (10-4-1, 5-3-0 USA South) erupted for four goals in the first half, including a pair within a three-minute span, to take control of the match.
Mackenzie Shores opened the scoring in the 5th
minute off an assist from
Joelle Hare, who later added a goal of her own in the 23rd minute.
Kendall Carr and
Addison Hannigan also found the back of the net for the Fighting Squirrels, with
Morgan Nikolic and Shores each contributing assists.
Pfeiffer (2-11-1, 1-6-1 USA South) managed to pull one back in the 11th minute when
Quinn Branca scored her third goal of the season, briefly leveling the match at 1-1. However, the Falcons were outshot 21-2 and struggled to generate offensive momentum for the remainder of the contest.
Goalkeeper
Kaylee Ollis made seven saves for Pfeiffer, including four in the second half, to help keep the scoreline from growing wider.
Pfeiffer will close out the 2025 season with a road trip to Brevard on Wednesday, Oct. 29. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
