MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Oct. 28, 2025)  — Pfeiffer University overcame a slow start to defeat Brevard College in four sets (18-25, 27-25, 25-15, 25-13) on Tuesday evening at Merner Gym, improving to 13-13 overall and 7-7 in USA South play.
After dropping the opening set, the Falcons responded with a gritty second-set win, edging the Tornados 27-25 behind a balanced offensive attack. Pfeiffer dominated the final two frames, holding Brevard to just 15 and 13 points, respectively.
Senior 
Madison Tate led the Falcons with 11 kills and a .526 hitting percentage, while 
Haedyn McGrath added 11 kills and three blocks. 
Gabi Gama contributed 12 kills and 12 digs, and 
Anasty Faavesi chipped in 12 kills with a .321 hitting clip.
Setter 
Karmen Rion paced the offense with 29 assists and added three service aces. 
Faith Miller anchored the defense at the net with four blocks and tallied seven points.
Pfeiffer finished with 55 kills and hit .239 as a team, compared to Brevard's 45 kills and .124 hitting percentage. The Falcons also out-dug the Tornados 62-58 and recorded seven total blocks.
The match featured 22 ties and six lead changes, with Pfeiffer taking control in the third and fourth sets to seal the win.
The Falcons will return to play on Friday, Oct. 31 with a USA South tri-match in Raleigh.  Pfeiffer will face Southern Virginia at 5:00 p.m. and will then battle host William Peace at 7:00 p.m.
