Pfeiffer Men Compete at the Prestigious Paul Short Run Hosted by Lehigh
Bethlehem, Pa. (Oct. 4, 2025) — Pfeiffer University's men's cross country team took to the course Friday at the prestigious Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University, facing off against a deep field of NCAA Division III competitors on Friday, Oct. 3.
Leading the way for the Falcons was junior
Cannon Powell, whi finished 60th in the field of 407 runners with a new personal best time in the 8K with a 25:25.Â
Sawyer Helms managed a 66th place finish with a 25:29.
Four other Falcon runners achieved personal bests in the 8K, led my
Alim Coleman with a 26:32.Â
Triston Rabon (26:59),
Kohen Johnson (27:15) and
Austin Drewery (27:38) also ran personal best times on the afternoon.
As a team, Pfeiffer finished 26th in the field of 45 teams.
NYU took the team title with 54 points while Amherst (101) finished second ahead of third-place Carnegie Mellon (183).
The meet, one of the largest collegiate cross country events in the nation, provided valuable experience for Pfeiffer's young roster as they prepare for the remainder of the fall season.
Pfeiffer will hit the trails again on Friday, Oct. 10 when they take part in the Royals Cross Country Challenge hosted by Queens University at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, N.C.Â
