Pfeiffer WOmen's Soccer Drops 3-1 USA South Decision at N.C. Wesleyan
Rocky Mount, N.C. (Oct. 4, 2025) — Samantha Dell scored a goal and added an assist to lead N.C. Wesleyan past Pfeiffer University 3-1 on Saturday afternoon at Scalf Field in a USA South Conference women's soccer match.
Dell broke a 1-1 tie early in the second half, finding the back of the net in the 50th minute off a pass from Mia Scherbrer. Makena Meyer added an insurance goal in the 76th minute, assisted by Dell, sealing the win for the Battling Bishops (2-7-1, 1-3-0 USA South).
Pfeiffer (1-7-0, 1-2-0 USA South) struck back in the 20th minute when freshman
Quinn Branca netted her first career goal to equalize after Eden Whiteside had opened the scoring for N.C. Wesleyan in the 8th minute. Whiteside's goal was assisted by Kayden Comerford.
Despite the loss, Pfeiffer senior goalkeeper
Kaylee Ollis recorded seven saves with the Pfeiffer offense logging five total shots, four of which were on target.
Pfeiffer will return to Lefko-MIlls Field on Tuesday, Oct. 7 with a 7:00 p.m. USA South match with Salem College.
