Pfeiffer Men Wins USA South Cross Country Championship in Dominant Fashion
MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Nov. 1, 2025) — Pfeiffer University delivered a commanding performance at the 2025 USA South Athletic Men's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, sweeping the top five spots to secure the team title at the Pfeiffer Cross Country Course.
By claiming the first five spots, the Falcons returned a perfect score of 15. The last time a perfect score in the USA South Cross Country Championships was achieved was in 2019 when Berea won the league title.
Sophomore
Bricen Burleson led the Falcons with a winning time of 25:05.5 in the 8-kilometer race, followed closely by senior
Sawyer Helms (25:14.2) and freshman
Jorge Clemente-Garcia (25:20.6). Junior
Cannon Powell (25:27.1) and sophomore
Alim Coleman (25:46.1) rounded out the scoring five, giving Pfeiffer a perfect team score of 15 points. Those finishers earned USA South All-Conferece first team honors.
The Falcons' depth was on full display, with Ezequiel Canas (25:59.1) and
Camden Misenheimer (26:29.4) finishing sixth and eighth overall, respectively, as displacers. Pfeiffer's top five runners averaged 25:23 and finished within 41 seconds of each other. In addition the 25:23 average team time is the fastest time posted in the USA South Championship meet using available records.

Kohen Johnson (9th) earned second team All-USA South awards while
Isaiah Watts,
Austin Drewery and
Eli Witte were third team All-USA South winners.
Southern Virginia placed second with 57 points, while Brevard finished third with 74 points.
