Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Wins Fourth Straight, Sweeps PSU Harrisburg

Hilton Head, S.C. (March 12, 2025)– The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team won their fourth straight match in a 7-0 sweep of Penn State Harrisburg at the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort on Friday morning

RECORDS
Pfeiffer – 6-2
PSU Harrisburg – 5-4

THE BASICS
The Falcons cruised over the Nittany Lions in doubles play, winning all three matches, then taking all six singles matches to provide the 7-0 final.

Bogdan Stan and partner Andrew Valdez-Arze were impressive in the No. 2 doubles match, winning in a 6-0 rout.

In singles play, freshman Aissultan Mukhambetov won his No. 3 match in dominating fashion, winning 6-0, 6-1.

Benedikt Pfeiffer (No.1) and Mathius Dessureau (No.2) each won their matches by identical 6-3, 6-3 scores.  Valdez-Arze (No. 5) and Justin Giesbrecht (No. 6) also won by identical scores, winning their respective matches by 6-2, 6-2 finals

The Next Match
The Falcons will return to USA South play on Monday, March 24 when they travel to Fayetteville, N.C. for a 3:00 p.m. match with Methodist.
