Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Drops USA South Road Match at Methodist
Fayetteville, N.C. (March 28, 2025)– The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 USA South road match at Methodist on Friday afternoon.
The loss snapped Pfeiffer's four-match winning streak.

THE BASICS
After dropping the doubles point, Pfeiffer's
Jayden Wellman and
Aissultan Mukhambetov were the bright spots, as they both won their singles matches at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
Wellman, a sophomore, had a hard-fought 7-6(7-4), 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) win over Harry Crokam in the No. 3 match.
Mukhambetov, a freshman, won his match in three sets by a 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 score.
Methodist clinched the match win when Christian Tihanovich defeated Pfeiffer's Andrews Valdez-Arze at the No. 5 match by a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) final.
The Next Match
The Falcons will return to USA South play, hosting No. 26 N.C. Wesleyan on Wednesday, April 2 at the Knapp Tennis Center.
