Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Wins 5-2 at Brevard
Brevard, N.C. (April 1, 2025)– The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team took a 5-2 win at Brevard on Tuesday afternoon.

THE BASICS
Pfeiffer opened the match with a sweep of the doubles competition to go ahead 1-0.
The team of
Benedikt Pfeiffer and
Mathius Dessureau won their No. 1 match by a 6-1 score. Freshman
Aissultan Mukhambetov and
Jayden Wellman shut out their BC opponents at No. 2 with a 6-0 win while
Andres Valdez-Arze and
Bogdan Stan won 6-3 at the No. 3 position.
In singles play, Pfeiffer won four of the six contested matches, with Mukhambetov winning at No. 4 by a 6-1, 6-0 score. Valdez-Arze won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 while Stand took the No. 6 match by a 6-1, 6-0 count.Â
Jayden Wellman also won his match at No. 3, winning 6-1, 6-3.
The Next Match
The Falcons will have a short turnaround, as they will host #26 N.C. Wesleyan on Wednesday, April 2 in a USA South match at the Knapp Tennis Center at 2:00 p.m.
