Pfeiffer Cross Country Releases 2025 Schedule

Falcons to host USA South Championship

Pfeiffer Cross Country Unveils 2025 Schedule

MISENHEIMER, N.C. (June 25, 2025) — Pfeiffer University has released its 2025 cross country schedule, featuring a competitive slate of meets across the Southeast region.

The Falcons will open their season on Friday Sept. 12 by hosting the Pfeiffer Invitational in Misenheimer, N.C.  The meet has grown exponentially over the past two years and Pfeiffer is poised to host the largest field in the brief history of the event, which is entering its third year.  Following the collegiate meet on Friday afternoon, Pfeiffer will host a high school and middle school event on Saturday, Sept. 13 that will likely see hundreds of participants.

Pfeiffer will then travel to Spartanburg, S.C. on Sept. 20 for the NCAA Division III Pre-Nationals.  The meet will be hosted at the Roger Milliken Center, which is the site of the 2025 NCAA Division III Championship.

Pfeiffer will hit the road to take part in the Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky. on Saturday, Oct. 4 before sticking close to home to compete in the Livingstone Invitational on Oct. 10 in Salisbury, N.C.

On Oct. 18, Pfeiffer will race in the Inter-Regional Border Battle in Salem, Va.

Postseason action begins Nov. 1 with the USA South Conference Championship, where Pfeiffer will look to defend the title won in 2024, by hosting the event for the first time on Pfeiffer's picturesque cross country course.

The NCAA South Regional is set for Nov. 15 in Salem, Va., with qualifying teams advancing to the NCAA Division III National Championships on Nov. 22 in Spartanburg, S.C.

Head coach Bob Marchiko expressed optimism about the upcoming season. "We've got a great mix of returning talent and new energy on both the men's and women's teams," Marchinko said. "This schedule gives us the right balance of competition and gives us a tremendous opportunity to prepare to defend our league championship."
