Pfeiffer Women's Soccer Drops Road Match to Johnson & Wales
Pineville, N.C. (Sept. 17, 2025) — Pfeiffer University's women's soccer team fell 3–1 to Johnson & Wales on Wednesday evening at the OrthoCarolina Sportsplex, despite a strong first-half showing and a standout performance from freshman forward
Lily Bido.
Bido netted the first goal of Pfeiffer career in the 33rd minute, finishing a well-placed assist from fellow freshman
Quinn Branca to level the match at 1–1. The Falcons (0-4) were unable to maintain momentum, however, as the Wildcats (4-2) responded with two more goals to secure the win.
Johnson & Wales opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a goal from Jessica Ralph, assisted by Olivia Kieffer. After Bido's equalizer, Jess Garman reclaimed the lead for the Wildcats in the 36th minute, and Hannah Greene added an insurance goal in the 77th minute.
Pfeiffer managed nine shots, four of which were on target. Bido led the team with four attempts, while Branca contributed two shots and the lone assist. Senior goalkeeper
Kaylee Ollis recorded two saves in the full 90 minutes of action.
Pfeiffer returns to The Village for homecoming on Saturday, Sept. 20 when they host Carolina U at 1:00 p.m. at Lefko-Mills Field.
