Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Drops Exhibition to Anderson
MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Sept. 19, 2025) — Pfeiffer University opened its men's tennis season Friday afternoon with a 7-0 exhibition setback to Division II Anderson University at the Knapp Tennis Center.
The Falcons (0-1) were unable to secure a point in either singles or doubles play as Anderson (2-0) dominated across all courts.
In singles action, Pfeiffer's
Jayden Wellman battled at the No. 1 spot but was defeated by Vicent Mico Fenollar, 6-3, 6-0. Aissult Mukhambetov, playing at No. 2, fell to Mathis Collignon, 6-0, 6-1.
Javier Robles Solis,
Aden Burgoyne,
Hugo Kezen, and
Bogdan Stan rounded out the singles lineup for Pfeiffer, each dropping straight-set matches.
The doubles teams also faced stiff competition. Burgoyne and Robles Solis fell 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, while Mukhambetov and Stan dropped a 6-4 decision at No. 2. Kezen and Wellman were defeated 6-2 at No. 3.
The Falcons will travel to Roanoke College for their next match on Sept. 24. First serve is slated for 2:00 p.m.
