Women's Soccer Wins USA South Opener 1-0 Over William Peace

Misenheimer, N.C. (Sept. 23, 2025) —
Freshman Kenzie Goldstein scored the first goal of her Pfeiffer career in the sixth minute to lift Pfeiffer University to a 1-0 USA South victory over William Peace on Tuesday evening at Lefko-Mills Field.

Goldstein found the back of the net off an assist from Yailine Riera at 5:24 in the first half lifing the Falcons (1-5-0, 1-0-0 USA South). Pfeiffer dominated possession and offensive chances, outshooting the Pacers 22-8, including a 6-5 edge in shots on goal.

Senior goalkeeper Kaylee Ollis recorded four saves to earn the shutout, her first of the season, and the fifth of her career. Pfeiffer's defense held firm throughout the match, allowing just three Pacer shots in the second half and keeping William Peace (1-5-1, 0-2-0 USA South) off the scoreboard.

William Peace keeper Gaby Vazquez made five saves, including several key stops in the second half to keep the Pacers within striking distance. Savanna Berckmiller led the visitors with three shots, two of which were on target.

Pfeiffer returns to USA South play on Saturday, Sept. 27 when they host rival Greensboro College at 2:00 p.m. at Lefko-Mills Field.
