Pfeiffer and Methodist Battle to 2–2 Draw in Conference Clash
Fayetteville, N.C. (Sept. 30, 2025) —
Alex Michael scored twice for Pfeiffer University as the Falcons played to a 2–2 draw against Methodist University on Tuesday night at Duggins Soccer Stadium.
Michael opened the scoring in the 19th minute, finishing a set piece from
Juan Cabrera to give Pfeiffer (8-0-1, 1-0-1 USA South) the early 1-0 lead.Methodist (5-2-5, 1-0-1) responded in the second half with goals from Carson Stretz in the 55th minute. Michael struck again in the 76th minute, this time assisted by
Caleb Yopp, briefly restoring Pfeiffer's lead before Steven Floyd equalizer in the 85th to level the match at 2-2.

Seth Limbert recorded six saves on 17 shots faced, including four in the second half, helping the Falcons preserve the draw. Methodist's Trey Gohr made three saves on 11 Pfeiffer attempts.
The Falcons will play in the fourth-consecutive road match on Saturday, Oct. 4 when they travel to Bermuda Run, N.C. for a nonconference match with Carolina U. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Truist Soccer Park.
