WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Feb. 7, 2026) — Pfeiffer University's indoor track and field teams turned in a record-setting weekend at the Camel City Sprints and Camel City Distance Meets, producing multiple new indoor school records and a wave of all-time program performances at the JDL Fast Track.
Jordan Jones led the charge on the sprint side, breaking the school record in the 60 meters with a 6.92, while also placing eighth in the long jump (6.85m).
In the mid-distance events,
Fabian Candela-Godinez delivered two standout performances, setting a new school record in the 600 meters (1:23.43) and running 1:58.90 in the 800 meters, the No. 3 all-time mark in program history. The men's 4x400 relay of
Jonathan Moran-Sanchez,
Carson Ritchie,
Owen Deaton and
T'Andre Palmer also took down a school record, clocking 3:25.44.
The Falcons added another school record in the field events, where
Jordan Brooks soared to 13.78 meters (45'4.25") in the triple jump, which also earned him an eighth-place finish. Brooks added further contributions with a 13th-place finish in the 60 meters and 14th in the 200.
