(CONCORD, NC) - The 2026 USA South Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship concluded on Saturday, April 25 at the Jay M. Robinson Mondo Track & Field Facility in Concord, North Carolina. Pfeiffer captured the title for the second consecutive year as the Falcons topped second place Southern Virginia by 144 points.

Using available records, Pfeiffer's 280 points is the most team points scored in the history of the USA South Outdoor Track and Field meet, eclipsing the 269 points scored by Southern Virginia in 2023.

Individually, top performers of the meet were selected based on the number of points contributed to their team. On the track side, Pfeiffer's, Bricen Burleson was named Track Athlete of the Meet, his teammate, Drake Stewart, was earned Field Athlete of the Meet, and their coach, Bob Marchinko, collected Coach of the Meet. 

The top-three performers in each event were deemed All-Conference while an All-Sportsmanship team was also announced (see below).

Pfeiffer delivered a dominant showing, piling up championships, school records and all-time marks across distance, sprint and the field events.

Cannon Powell led the way in the distance races, sweeping two conference titles. Powell won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9 minutes, 59 seconds and followed with a first-place finish in the 10,000 meters in 32:52. He added a second-place finish in the 5,000 meters, crossing in 15:40.

Jordan Jones was the top sprinter of the meet, capturing the 100-meter title in 10.42 seconds. The time stood as a conference-meet record and an all-time best. Jones also placed third in the 200 meters in 21.77.

In the field events, Alec Paraico claimed the javelin championship with a throw of 49.33 meters (161 feet, 10 inches), setting a new school record.

Cameron Ritchie turned in one of the most decorated performances of the meet. Ritchie won the 400-meter hurdles in 54.13, a time that set a USA meet record, a conference meet record and a school record. He also placed third in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.21, another school record.

T'Andre Palmer captured the conference title in the 400 meters with a winning time of 48.00 seconds, marking the fastest time in school history as well as the top time ever recorded at the conference meet.

Pfeiffer's relay teams also made history. The men's 4x400-meter relay of Jonathan Moran-Sanchez, Carson Ritchie, Cameron Ritchie and Palmer finished second in 3:16.48, establishing a school record. The men's 4x100-meter relay of Michael Chapman, Owen Deaton, Moran-Sanchez and Jones placed third in 41.60, also a school record.

Samuel Head added to the strong distance effort, finishing second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:04.86 and placing third in the 5,000 meters in 16:04.59.
