MISENHEIMER, N.C. (March 12, 2026)— Pfeiffer University sprinter
Jordan Jones will become the first track & field athlete to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, earning a spot in the 60-meter dash
Jones, who represents the Falcons as part of four other USA South student-athletes, will compete against the nation's top Division III sprinter at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
Jones will race in the third heat of the event, which is scheduled to begin at 2:15 pm local time (3:15 pm ET). The top two finishers in each of the three heats will advance to the event finals, along with the next best two times.
The 60m finals is scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at 12:10 pm local time (1:10 pm ET)
The NCAA accepted the top 20 declared athletes in each men's event, placing Jones among elite company in this year's 60-meter field.
