Jones Sets School Record, Leads Standout Weekend for Falcons Men's Track and Field
MISENHEIMER, N.C. (March 22, 2026) - Pfeiffer University sprint standout
Jordan Jones delivered the performance of the weekend, winning the 100 meters in a school-record 10.42 seconds, a mark that currently ranks No. 1 nationally. His victory headlined a strong all-around showing for the Falcons as they opened the outdoor track and field season at the 49ers Classic at the Irwin Belk Track and Field Center in Charlotte, N.C.
In the distance events,
Bricen Burleson turned in a major milestone performance with a third-place finish in the 10,000 meters, clocking 31:23, the second-fastest time in school history. Teammate
Cannon Powell also cracked the program's all-time list, placing eighth in 31:46.92, the third-best mark ever recorded by a Falcon.
Pfeiffer also placed in the field events. Drake Stewert cleared 2.00 meters (6 feet, 6¾ inches) in the high jump, earning fifth place, while
Zach Moore captured first place in the ambulatory shot put with a throw of 4.76 meters (15-7).
