FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (March 25, 2026) — Pfeiffer erupted for six first-quarter goals and never let up, rolling to an 18–2 road win over Methodist on Wednesday night at Monarch Stadium.
Tiger Hopkins powered the Falcons' attack with five goals and two assists, including a first-quarter hat trick that helped Pfeiffer (9–2, 4–0 USA South) seize early control.
Trent Orr added two goals and a pair of assists, while
Ethan Miles and
Davis Palombo each recorded hat tricks.
Pfeiffer dominated possession throughout, outshooting Methodist 67–24 and putting 47 shots on goal. The Falcons also went 4-for-6 on man-up chances, with Palombo scoring twice on the extra-man unit.
Defensively, Pfeiffer suffocated the Monarchs (6–6, 3–2), forcing 23 turnovers and allowing only 13 shots on goal. Starting goalkeeper
Korbin Hamilton made 11 saves over 54 minutes, while
Dawson Petzel and
Robert Hanlon closed out the final minutes to preserve the 16-goal margin. Methodist's lone goals came in the first half from Jay Legg and RJ Breeden.
The Falcons led 6–1 after one quarter, 10–2 at halftime and 13–2 heading into the fourth before tacking on five more in the final frame. Sullivan contributed two fourth-quarter goals and finished with a three-point night.
