ATLANTA, Ga. (Sept. 18, 2026) — Pfeiffer saw its four-match winning streak come to an end Friday afternoon, falling 4-0 to regionally ranked Emory at Oglethorpe University's Track and Field.
Pfeiffer (4-1) was limited to four shots and two shots on goal against a strong Emory defense, while the Eagles improved to 4-1-1 with the neutral-site victory.
The Falcons generated an early scoring chance in the fourth minute when
Benji Landaverde tested Geoffrey Halpern, but the Emory goalkeeper made the save.
Emory broke through in the 15th minute as Jake Breitegan finished a feed from Jeremiah Cateau for a 1-0 lead. The Eagles extended their advantage to 2-0 in the 36th minute when Vincent Maraschiello scored off an assist from Justin Buchwalter.
After halftime, Breitegan struck again in the 56th minute on assists from Prescott Bayman and Walker Stebbings, pushing the lead to 3-0. He completed the hat trick in the 87th minute, converting a pass from Zachary Blacher to account for the final margin.
Seth Limbert recorded four saves in goal for the Falcons, including two in each half.
Jefferson Paguada and Landaverde each put a shot on target for Pfeiffer, while the Falcons earned seven corner kicks.
Pfeiffer will return to play on Sunday, Sept. 20 when they play host Oglethorpe at 11:00 a.m.
