ATLANTA, Ga. (Sept. 20, 2026) — Pfeiffer University controlled much of the offensive play but was unable to find the breakthrough Sunday, settling for a 0-0 nonconference men's soccer draw against Oglethorpe University at Oglethorpe Track and Field.
The Falcons (4-1-1) outshot Oglethorpe 9-4 and held a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal, generating nearly all of their offensive chances in the second half. Despite the pressure, Oglethorpe goalkeeper Sebastian Lewis turned away all five Pfeiffer shots on target to preserve the tie.

Seth Limbert matched Lewis with a shutout performance of his own, recording two saves across 90 minutes. Limbert's biggest stops came on attempts from Ethan Martinez in the 24th minute and Alex Watson in the 82nd minute.
After a quiet opening half that featured just one shot on goal between the teams, the Falcons pushed forward following intermission.
Barrett Owens sparked the attack with three shots, including two on goal, while
Wesley Hooker added a team-high four shots and put two attempts on frame.
Benji Landaverde also tested the Oglethorpe defense with a shot on goal in the 73rd minute.
Pfeiffer's best opportunities came during a sustained stretch of second-half pressure. Owens forced a save in the 55th minute, Hooker challenged Lewis in the 59th and 80th minutes, and Owens added another dangerous attempt in the 83rd minute, but the Stormy Petrels goalkeeper remained unbeaten.
Defensively, the Falcons were solid throughout the afternoon, limiting Oglethorpe (4-1-2) to just four total shots and two shots on goal. The hosts were also caught offside five times in the first half as Pfeiffer's back line consistently disrupted attacking runs.
Pfeiffer will turn their focus towards USA South play, as they open their league slate with a home match on Saturday, Sept.26 against N.C. Wesleyan. at 6:00 p.m.
