ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (Sept. 22, 2026) — Wyatt Reeder claimed individual medalist honors and led Pfeiffer to the team championship at the Don Scalf Memorial, which concluded Monday at Belmont Lake Golf Club. Pfeiffer finished with a two-round score of 576 (286-290), even par for the tournament and 18 strokes clear of runner-up Chowan "B".

The Falcons placed three golfers among the top four individuals and all five scoring players finished inside the top 12. Wyatt Reeder paced the field with a 3-under-par 141, following an opening-round 68 with a 73 to earn medalist honors. Teammate Ryan McQuarrie finished second at 1-under 143 after rounds of 72 and 71.

Aidan Hollar added a tie for fourth place at 1-over 145, while Tyler Kepley placed 11th at 149 and Tatum North finished 12th at 150.

The team title highlighted a dominant showing by the Falcons, who were the only squad to finish at even par or better for the 36-hole event. Chowan B was second at 594 (+18), followed by host NC Wesleyan at 601 (+25) and Elizabeth City State at 605 (+29). 

In the individual standings, Daniel Byers of Elizabeth City State finished third at even-par 144, while Hollar shared fourth place with Jacob Kearney of Chowan "B" at 145.

The victory continues a strong fall season for Pfeiffer, which showcased both depth and consistency throughout the tournament, posting four top-11 individual finishes en route to the championship.
