Pfeiffer University

McClain enters her fourth season as a member of the Pfeiffer women's basketball program in 2020-21.

2019-20 (Junior) - Started all 25 games, averaging 29.7 minutes.  Shot 46.5% from the field and 38.5% from beyond the arc.  Also returned a 71.1% effort from the FT line. Scored a career-high 26 points against Methodist on Feb. 8.

2018-19 (Sophomore) - Started all 22 games for the Falcons, averaging 29.9 minutes per game.  She also averaged 11.4 points per game and finished with a 44.5% from the field.  She also shot 40.4% from long range and was an 80.3% shooter from the free throw line.

She scored a season-high 21 points in a 75-61 road win at Salem.  All told, she hit double-figures 14 times during the season.  She earned All-USA South honors and was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

2017-18 (Freshman) - Started in 24 of 25 games for Pfeiffer in helping the Falcons to a 20-5 record and a berth in the ECAC Division III Tournament.  She scored her first career points on Nov. 17 in a home win over Hollins.  Her career high of 22 points came on Jan. 13 in a 77-66 home win over Averett.

Prior to Pfeiffer - Played her high school basketball at Hickory High School for coach Barbara Helms.  During her sophomore season she helped lead Hickory to the NCHSAA 3A State Championship and a perfect 27-0 record.  That team was granted the Key to the City of Hickory.  She also earned scholar-athlete honors at Hickory all four seasons.

Personal - Daughter of Donald McClain, Jr. and LaShanda Sharpe.  She has one brother, D.J. (23).  Her cousin Tyrese Rice played basketball at Boston College and plays with Panathinaikos SuperFoods Athens in the Greek A-1 League.
