Misenheimer, NC â€" The Pfeiffer University men’s and women’s tennis teams hosted a dual match against Jaguars of Augusta State University on Friday afternoon. Both teams lost to Augusta State on an afternoon so chilly ice was found surrounding the court. The Pfeiffer men lost 7-2, while the women lost 9-0. Augusta State is currently ranked #21 and #25 nationally for their men’s and women’s teams, respectively.
Johan deWit (Windhoek, Namibia) and Philip Lawson (Johannesburg, South Africa) earned the win in the first doubles match, 8-6. Freshman Sid Kaushik (India) brought home the only singles victory of the day for the Falcons. He took the match 6-1, 6-1.
