BUENA VISTA, Va. (April 18, 2026) — Pfeiffer swept all seven points to earn a 7-0 USA South Conference women's tennis victory over Southern Virginia on Saturday afternoon at the Tennis Complex.
The Falcons (13-4) secured the doubles point quickly and carried that momentum into singles play, where they won all six matches in straight sets to complete the shutout.
Haley Ingenito and
Fanny Apostolou opened doubles action with a 6-2 win at No. 1, while
Riley Isley and
Kristen Colie added a 6-0 victory at No. 3 to clinch the point.
Pfeiffer was dominant in singles, beginning at the top as Ingenito posted a 6-2, 6-3 win over Lydia Delich at No. 1. Apostolou followed with a 6-4, 6-1 decision at No. 2, and
Sydney Cohen cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 3.
Riley Isley earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 4,
Gracie Spangler defeated Lucy Dalgleish 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5, and
Claire Germain completed the sweep with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 6.
With the regular season complete, Pfeiffer earns the No. 3 seed in the upcoming USA South Tournament and will take on No. 2 seeded Methodist University on Friday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m. in Rocky Mount, N.C.
