BANNER ELK, N.C. - Pfeiffer University's Amanda Smith set the all-time career record for caused turnovers during a 20-4 Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse victory at Lees-McRae on Thursday afternoon. Smith forced six turnovers in the win as the 15th-ranked Lady Falcons improved to 9-5 overall, 4-1 in league play while the Lady Bobcats plummet to 2-8, 0-5.

Freshman Rachel Hebberd led the Lady Falcons with a career-high five goals on the afternoon followed by Natalie Marvin's four. Sarah Hebberd, Alex Cook and Liz Melesh each recorded a hat trick. After Lees-McRae tallied the first goal of the match, the Lady Falcons reeled out seven-in-a-row. Following the next Lady Bobcats goal, Pfeiffer again put home eight-straight.

Smith led the defense with her record-breaking six caused turnovers while also leading with Shannon Bonnel and Jessica Moulton grabbing four groundballs. Smith also corralled a game-high five draw controls.

Kaitlin Booth made three first-half saves to get the win. Newcomer Jamie Alcala stopped one shot in her second half appearance.

Pfeiffer gets back to action on Saturday hosting Queens for senior day at N.E. Lefko Field. The initial draw is set for 12:00 p.m.
