MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Meredith College rallied back in singles play to score a 5-4 victory over Pfeiffer University in non-conference women's tennis action on Thursday afternoon. The Avenging Angels move to 3-0 on the year while the Lady Falcons drop to 3-4.

Pfeiffer took an early 2-1 lead after victories in the top two spots of doubles action. Alena Krutkina and Taylor Lindsay rolled 8-0 while Chelsi Haefele and Briana Oliver needed an 8-6 win at #2. Taylor Lindsay and Briana Oliver scored the singles wins at #2 and #4 singles respectively in straight-sets 6-4, 6-2 and 7-5, 6-2. Meredith won all of their singles matches in straight-sets against the hosts.

Pfeiffer gets back to action with the 2012 Conference Carolinas opener at Limestone on Saturday afternoon.
