MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Georgia College resumed the offensive outburst scoring 10 runs on 15 hits to finish off a three-game sweep of host Pfeiffer University 10-5 in baseball action on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats would score all 10 runs over the first five frames improving to 21-9 overall while the Falcons drop to 13-23.

Jake Sandlin picked up where he left off on Friday beginning Saturday with a double down the left-field line. After a single to center by Daniel Bick, Sandlin came in on a 4-6-3 double play ball hit into by Clay Ardeeser.

The Falcons quickly responded in the bottom of the frame as a leadoff walk to Jacob Yates, single to center by Jon Gray and sacrifice bunt by Aarin Sharpe would eventually pay off in the form of a game-tying groundout to second off the bat of Cole McGraw.

The Bobcats immediately took the lead back in the second starting with a solo home run to right by catcher Steve Hazel. Three hitters later, Rob Hogenkamp lace a RBI single to right before Ikaika Anderson followed with a run-scoring double down the left-field line. For the second-consecutive inning, Sandlin would line another double down the right-field line, this one to score two more runs, capping off Georgia College's five-run frame.

Pfeiffer would get one of those runs back in their second as Dalton Lindley sent a solo blast to left-center for his second homer in as many days. As the trend continued, Georgia College got the run back from Lindley's round-tripper on Anderson's second RBI double of the day to make it 7-2.

Hazel would pick up another RBI in the fourth on a single to left-center pushing the lead to 8-2 before Kevin Price showed off some more leather in center. After robbing Sandlin of a three-run homer to end the third, Price would do it again as Donaldson ended the top of the fourth having a two-run homer taken away by a leaping grab by Price.

After being robbed by Price in the fourth, Sandlin made sure he got enough in the fifth lifting off on a two-run dinger above Price in center. Pfeiffer would use the long ball to tack on two more in the seventh as Johnny Brown, Jr. went deep to left-center while Lindley connected for his second of the day with a bomb to center two batters later.

Gray would blast his team-leading ninth of the year to lead-off the eighth ending scoring on the day while slicing the lead in half at 10-5. Out of the bullpen, Hunter Jobe and Jeff Barkley would combine for four-and-a-third scoreless innings. Jobe went 3.1 frames allowing just two hits with a pair of strikeouts while Barkley tossed the ninth retiring the side in order with a strikeout.

Sandlin would once again lead the Bobcats with a 3-for-4 day at the plate with a pair of doubles, a home run and four RBI. Anderson would also finish three hits in his four plate appearances with two doubles, a triple, two runs scored and two RBI. Gray and Lindley would lead the Falcon offense with two hits on the day.

Pfeiffer will stay at Joe Ferebee Field for another non-conference tilt with Newberry at 3:30 p.m. The Wolves defeated the Falcons back on February 19th by a final score of 6-2. Live stats will be available courtesy of http://www.gofalconsports.com.
