MISENHEIMER, N.C – The Pfeiffer men's (1-0) tennis team knocked off Catawba (1-3) on Tuesday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center with a 7-2 win.
In singles competition Oscar Van Kock won 7-6, 6-2 over Jack Mordey in the first position, Nils Hoffacker won in straight sets 6-1, 6-3 over Lucas Miller in the second, Bjorn Barwinkski defeated Lucca Picca 6-3, 6-3 in straight sets in the third, Thomas Hubble in the fifth position defeated Mitchell McDonald 7-5, 0-6, 10-7 and in the sixth position Anthony Brennan defeated Iago Montero Nunez 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets.
In doubles play, the Falcons took two of three matches from the Indians as the team of Van Kock and Barwinkski defeated McDonald and Michael Mordley 8-5 in the first position. In the second position, Noffacker and Hubble won 8-5 over Picca and Michael Patch.
The Falcon men are in action next as they travel to Sumter, SC for the October 9th ITA Regional at the Palmetto Tennis Center.
