COLUMBIA, SC - The Pfeiffer men's tennis team (4-0) breezed past a winless Benedict (0-3) squad on Thursday afternoon, blanking the hosts 9-0. The Falcons won each singles match in straight sets and easily defeated the Tigers in doubles play.
In singles competition, Oscar Von Koch won first singles 7-6 and 6-1, while Axel Woerner took care of business in second singles 7-5 and 6-4. Bjorn Barwinski, Anthony Brennan and David Weir all easily earned victories and Sebastian Wernecke won by default in sixth singles.
Van Koch and Woerner won in first doubles 8-4. Barwinski and Wernecke claimed a win in second doubles, 8-2 and Weir/Brennan also won by default in the third slot.
The Falcons are back in action on Sunday as they travel to Johnson C. Smith at 1 p.m.
