BREVARD, N.C. - The Pfeiffer men's tennis team (8-1) claimed a 8-1 road win over Brevard (4-4) in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon.

Pfeiffer went 2-1 in doubles play, dropping a tight 9-8 (8-6) decision in number one doubles. The second pair of Bjorn Barwinski and Oscar Van Koch took an 8-2 win and Orlando Castillo and David Weir won 8-3 in third doubles.

Van Koch was pushed to the limit in first singles but held on for the 7-6, 0-6, 1-0 (10-7) win. Axel Woerner, Barwinski, Weir and Sebastian Wernecke won in straight sets and Anthony Brennan posted a comeback victory 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-5).

Pfeiffer returns to action on Sunday as they host Limestone at 11 a.m.
