SAINT LEO, FL.- The Pfeiffer women's lacrosse team's (2-2) second half comeback fell short as the Falcons lost to Regis (2-2) Â 15-13 on Thursday afternoon. Pfeiffer received a lift from
Cheyenne Green who scored three goals. Jacqeline Kennedy also registered three points scoring two goals and adding one assist.
Emily Behr led Regis scoring four goals and recording three assists. Sarah Lugo contributed with six points, scoring four goals and adding two assists.Â
The Rangers dominated a majority of the first half scoring nine of the first 11 goals including a stretch where Regis scored five straight. Pfeiffer found its answer scoring three goals in the last 31 seconds of the first half, including a goal by Kennedy with 11 second left, cutting into Regis's lead  9-5.
Pfeiffer scored six of the first eight goals to start the second half with 18:35 left the Falcons tied the game at 11 when Kennedy scored an unassisted goal.
Kristi Korn's second goal of the game, which came on a free position shot gave Pfeiffer a 13-12 lead with 9:56 left in the game. The Rangers would respond by scoring the last three goals of the game.
Anna Rulapaugh scored two goals, Korn contributed also scoring a pair of goals for the Falcons.
Gracie Herbert recorded a goal and an assist.
Pfeiffer returns to action tomorrow for a matchup against Saint Leo game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
