MISENHEIMER, N.C – The Pfeiffer women's (1-0) tennis team knocked off Catawba (3-1) on Monday afternoon in a 5-4 win.
In singles competition Olivia Nelms won 6-4, 6-1 over Liz Renteria , Hannah Watson won in straight sets 6-0, 6-2 over Maddie Henderson and Mylene Petitpas defeated Kristen Rocko 6-3, 6-3 in straight sets.
In doubles play, the Falcons took two of three matches as the team of Mendoza and Watson defeated Renteria and Erisa Onchi by the score of 9-8. In the other match Nelms and Petitpas defeated Rocko and Lauren Sledd by the score of 8-2.
The Falcons are in action next as travel to Sumter, SC for October 2nd ITA Regional play at the Palmetto Tennis Center.
