GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Pfeiffer Men's Tennis team (4-0) defeated Guilford College (0-1) 9-0 as they never dropped a set. Reigning Carolinas Conference Player of the Week Axel Woerner continued his winning ways as he defeated Erik Meiler in the first position, 6-2, 6-2.
Also in singles Thomas Hubble defeated Mason Church, 6-1, 6-0 in the second position. In the third position, David Weir defeated Mesa Martorell, 6-2, 6-3. Anthony Brennan defeated Aaron Smedley, 6-1, 6-3 in the fourth position. Pfeiffer's Jimmy Molina defeated Levi Bruff, 6-0, 6-4 in fifth position Eduan Louw downed Guilford's John Brvenik, 7-6, 6-2.
In Doubles, Worerner and Weir defeated Meiler and Martorell, 8-6 in the first position. Hubble and Brennan defeated Chasen Chacon and Graham Pearson in the second. Zach Huffman and Molina defeated the team of Church and Levi Bruff in the third position.
The Falcons return to action tomorrow afternoon as they take on Queens (N.C.). Match time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
