MISENHEIMER, NC- Molly O'Friel scored three goals and dished out four assists, as the Pfeiffer women's lacrosse team (1-2, 1-1 CC) picked up their first win of the season, beating Lees-McRae (0-2, 0-1 CC) 14-4 on Friday afternoon. The Falcons (36) took over double the amount of shots than the Bobcats (15) scoring seven goals in both the first and second half.

Pfeiffer took an early 3-0, behind an O'Friel goal and back-to-back goals by Cheyenne Green. LMC responded scoring two unanswered goals pulling the Bobcats within one. O'Friel struck again at the 17 minute mark extending the Falcons lead to 4-2. Ally Unkenholz scored her first career goal, when she took a pass from Gracie Herbert, and found the back of the net. 35 second later Herbert recorded her first goal of the contest, pushing the Pfeiffer lead to 7-2.

The Falcons scored the first five goals to start the second stanza. Green scored the first two, followed by three consecutive scores by Herbert. Green and O'Friel scored the final two goals of the game for the 14-4 victory.

Pfeiffer caused 11 bobcats turnovers, and scooped up 28 groundballs. Of the 36 shots the Falcons took 26 were on goal.

Herbert scored four goals, dishing out two assists, and Green scored five times for the Falcons on eight shots. Whitney Jaffe dished out three assists and Kylie Lode had two helpers in the victory.

Pfeiffer returns to action on Sunday, as they host Reigis at 2:00 p.m.
