Box Score MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Pfeiffer women's lacrosse team (1-3) fell to No. 19 Regis (2-0) in non-conference action at NE Lefko Field on Sunday afternoon. Pfeiffer was able to score seven goals on 11 shots but the Rangers high powered offense tallied 14 goals in the win.
The Falcons struck first as Molly O'Friel scored her sixth goal of the season 1:56 into the contest. After Regis answered, O'Friel came right back for her second goal in the first 10 minutes as Pfeiffer led 2-1. Regis responded with back-to-back goals but Gracie Herbert stopped the momentum with a free position goal at the 14:11 mark of the first half. With the game tied at three, Regis took control and scored the next six goals to end the half.
With a 9-3 lead to start the second half, Regis continued the attack. The Rangers added two goals in the first 1:21 of the second half to push the lead to 11-3. Josie Lent, Whitney Jaffe, Ally Unkenholz and Kylie Lode would find the back of the net for Pfeiffer but the Falcons couldn't close the gap.
For the game, Cassidy Wilson tallied eight saves in 51:38 of action. Backup goalie Emily James added three saves in her 8:22 of game time.
Regis held a 28-11 advantage in shots and forced the Falcons into 20 turnovers on the day. Regis went 13-for-14 in clears on the day and converted four free position shots.
The Falcons look to get back on track when they host Tiffin on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the first home night game in program history. The game is the third of eight straight home games for the Falcons.
