WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.- The Pfeiffer Falcons men's tennis team traveled to take on Divison I and the #9 Demon Deacons of Wake Forest on Saturday and fell by the score of 7-0. Nils Hoffacker played strong versus Keivon Tabrizi but still fell in straight sets in the first position, 7-5, 6-4.
In others singles action Oscar Van Kock dropped in straight sets to Jon Hoe, 6-3,6-0 in the second position. In the third position, Dennis Uspensky defeated Axel Woerner, 6-3,6-2. Bjorn Barwinski lost to Maksim Kan by the score of 6-2, 6-1 in the fourth. Deacons' Sam Bloom defeated Thomas Hubble 6-1, 6-2 in the fifth position. The Falcons David Weir dropped his match in straight sets, 6-0,6-1 to Anthony Delcore in the sixth position.
In doubles Tabrizi and Uspendy defeated Hoffacker and Woerner, 6-1 in the first position. Barwinski and Van Kock in the second position dropped to Petros Chrysochos and Sam Bloom, 6-3. Hubble and Anthony Brennan dropped 6-3 to Declore and Kan in the third position.
The Falcons return to action on Saturday as the host they Flying Fleet of Erskine in a match scheduled for 2 p.m.
