BELMONT, N.C. - The Pfeiffer Falcons (11-6-1, 8-0-1 CC) continued their winning ways versus the Belmont Abbey Crusaders (6-19, 2-7 CC) on Saturday as they won 6-3 and started off the day winning two of the three doubles matches.
Juan Baez and James Delaney defeated Nils Hoffacker and Axel Woerner in the first position by the score of 8-7. In the second position, Oscar Van Koch and Bjorn Barwinski beat Grant Goldin and Young-Jin Kang, 8-4. Thomas Hubble and Anthony Brennan got by Laine Harnett and Michael Rapsik, 8-4, in the third position.
In singles, Hoffacker defeated Baez, 6-4, 6-4 out of the first position. From the second positon, Van Koch was edged by Delaney, 2-6, 6-3, 3-6. Pfeiffer took the next three positons in straight sets: Woerner, 6-2, 6-1, Barwinski took care of Kang , 7-5, 6-2 and David Weir finished off Eduardo Escobar 6-1, 6-2. In the sixth position, Jimmy Molina fell to Belmont Abbey's Nikhil Reddy.
Pfeiffer finishes off the regular season on Monday as they travel to North Greenville at 1:00 p.m.
