MISENHEIMER, N.C. - A supreme offensive performance gave the Falcons (5-1) a 4-0 victory over Francis Marion (2-4-1) on Wednesday evening. The Falcons fired 44 shots in the contest and ran their home winning streak to 23 in a row at Lefko Field.

"We're very happy with the performance," commented Head Coach Bob Reasso. "We didn't finish in the first half but we need to credit their goalie, he played great tonight. We scored some special goals and Roberto Soares changed the game when he came in."

The Falcons offensive attack pushed the Patriots to the brink early. Pfeiffer took the first 14 shots of the contest, many of them narrowly missing the mark. Jaime Siaj took four of the Falcons early shots and Cristobal Allendes header narrowly missed high. Francis Marion's first shot of the contest came off a corner kick in the 32nd minute. Late in the period, Siaj took a perfect feed from Nathan Regis and fired his shot past the keeper but off the post as another scoring opportunity just missed. The period would end with Pfeiffer holding a 23-3 advantage in shots and Jonathan Mannes made six saves for the visitors.

In the 63rd minute, the Falcons were awarded a penalty kick due to a handball in the box. Regis calmly sank his shot to break the scoreless tie. Minutes later, Martim Galvao had a nifty goal as he dribbled through the entire defense and faked out the keeper for his second goal in as many matches. Shortly after the second goal, Galvao set up Roberto Soares for his first tally of the night. In the78th minute, Soares struck again as he lofted a shot over the keeper for his third goal in his last two matches.  Paco Cortez would tack on the final goal of the game off an assist from Adrian Mosquera.

For the night, the Falcons outshot Francis Marion 44-7 and held a 17-2 advantage in corner kicks. Nicolas Dulac earned his second consecutive win, making two saves.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday as they travel to Lees-McRae for a Conference Carolinas contest. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Banner Elk, N.C.
