MISENHEIMER, NC – Seven different players scored for the Pfeiffer University women's lacrosse team (5-2, 3-0 CC) as the Falcons rallied for a 15-13 win against Converse (3-5, 1-1) at NE Lefko Field on Saturday afternoon. Pfeiffer bounced back from a three-goal deficit in the second half to remain undefeated in the conference while improving to 4-1 at home.

Senior Molly O'Friel led the Falcons with four goals and sophomore Ally Unkenholz was close behind with three. Junior Josie Lent had a pair of goals, as did freshmen Meghan Bourque and Startraya Galloway. Junior Paige Bonds and sophomore Airea Williams both found the net once.

O'Friel finished as the total points leader for Pfeiffer, adding three assists to her four goals. She also contributed three ground balls and had a game-high 11 draw controls – a major force in a category where the Falcons dominated, 21-10.

Converse came out of halftime on a mission, scoring four unanswered goals to take a 10-7 lead with 22:03 remaining in the game. O'Friel and Galloway would find a way to stop the bleeding with goals at the 21:49- and 16:23-minute marks before Britti Jones tacked on another for the Valkyries, giving them an 11-9 advantage.

Pfeiffer regained its footing and, thanks to a scoring outburst comprised of consecutive goals from Galloway, Lent, Unkenholz, and Bourque, went on a 5-1 run over the next seven minutes to ultimately seal the victory. The Falcons were able to hold on despite a career day from Converse senior Laura Starkes, who posted the third-most points in program history with 10 (four goals, six assists).

Pfeiffer will travel to Catawba this Tuesday, March 14 for a 4 p.m. start.
