Belmont, N.C. – The Pfeiffer women's tennis team lost 9-0 to Belmont Abbey on Wednesday afternoon. It was a tough match for the Falcons as the Crusaders picked up their third win of the season.

In doubles play, Pfeiffer's Juliana Batah and Anna Branson went up against Teagan McNamara and Morgan Nguyen and lost a tough 8-5 match. The second doubles match didn't bode any better for the Falcons, as Ally Delaney and Sydeny Honeycutt lost in their match 8-2.

In singles play, Branson fought hard against Belmont Abbey's number three player Morgan Nguyen, but lost 6-4, 6-1. This would be the closest singles match of the afternoon for Pfeiffer.

Delaney also had a hard fought match playing against Darian DeFrench, but took a 6-3, 6-1 defeat.

The Falcons will travel to Randolph-Macon on Tuesday, March 6 for their next match. Start time is scheduled for 2:00.
