Raleigh, N.C. -- The Pfeiffer women's tennis team split two matches on Saturday, losing to Shaw 9-0 while defeating WIlliam Peace 9-0. The win gives the Falcons their third of the season.

Pfeiffer vs Shaw

In the match against Shaw, Pfeiffer could not get anything going in singles or doubles play. Juliana Batah lost her match against the Bears' number one player Daniela Vanko 6-2, 6-1. ShaNisha White lost a tough match as well, losing 6-4, 6-1 against Andrijana Martic.

In doubles play, Anna Branson and Batah were defeated 8-2, while Ally Delaney and ShaNisha White lost their match 8-1. In the final doubles match of the morning, Maddie Hatley and Madison Furr took an 8-0 loss.

Pfeiffer vs William Peace

It was a dominating match for Pfeiffer, as two singles matches ended up in sweeps, while the Falcons also put away the Pacers in doubles play without any trouble.

Ally Delaney defeated Manessah Fox 6-0, 6-0 in her singles match, while ShaNisha White defeated Cadie Gundlach 6-1. Madison Furr also came away with a win, defeating Haley Hinton 7-5, 6-2. Sydney Honeycutt swept Ameera Khattab 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles play, Juliana Batah and Anna Branson came away victorious, beating Hinton and Gundlach 8-1. Delaney and White also won their match against Fox and Khattab 8-1.

Pfeiffer's next match is scheduled for tomorrow as they travel to Meredith. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m.
