Women's Tennis Defeats Salem 8-1 And Extends Win Streak To Four

Winston Salem N.C. -- The Pfeiffer women's tennis team scored another victory on Saturday as they defeated Salem 8-1. The win improves their record to 7-7 on the season and extends their win streak to four matches.

Anna Branson played as the Falcons' number one player in singles play and defeated Makenna Mason 6-1, 6-1. Juliana Batah also won in her singles match, defeating Abigail Williams 6-0, 6-1. Ally Delaney would defeat Lauren Holman 6-1, 6-0 as well. Sydney Honeycutt and Maddie Hatley also won their singles matches as Pfeiffer won five of the six singles matches on the day.

In doubles play, Batah and Delaney would take home a win over Mason and Williams 8-1 while Branson and Honeycutt defeated Holman and Carmen Wilkins 8-0. In the final doubles match, the team of Madison Furr and Maddie Hatley took care of business against Grace Wilson and Alyssa Cosentino 8-1.

The Falcons take the court again next Saturday when they play a road match at N.C. Wesleyan. The match is scheduled for 2 p.m.
