Brevard Downs Women's Tennis, 6-3

Misenheimer, N.C. (March 2, 2019) – Visiting Brevard College took four of six singles matches and two of the three doubles matches, taking a 6-3 women's tennis win over Pfeiffer University on Saturday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

Pfeiffer got singles wins from Sydney Gray (Mt. Pleasant, N.C.) at No. 4 singles and Sydney Honeycutt (Denton, N.C.) at No. 5.

Gray downed Jen Cox, 6-1, 6-2 while Honeycutt won her match by a 6-0, 6-1 score.

In doubles play, Gray and teammate Charlotte Craven (Carthage, N.C.) won their No. 2 doubles match to give the Falcons their third point.  They took care of the Brevard team of Cox and Darden King by an 8-6 score.

The loss drops the Falcons to 1-3 on the season while Brevard improves to 2-4.

The Falcons will return to play on Monday, March 4 at home against Livingstone College.
