Fayetteville, N.C. (March 26, 2019)  The Pfeiffer University women's tennis team came up short in a USA South match at Methodsit on Tuesday afternoon, falling by a 9-0 score.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Monarchs surrendered just two games during their sweep of the doubles matches.
• Pfeiffer's Charlotte Craven had a competitive match at No. 3 singles, but ultimately fell to MU's Taylor Jackson by a 7-5, 6-1 score.
• At no 5 singles, Sydney Honeycutt dropped a 6-0, 6-2 match and Maddie Hatley fell in her No. 6 singles match by a 6-3, 6-1 tally.
• Darby Sherrill dropped her No. 1 singles match in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 while at No. 2 Sydney Gray fell to Allison Himes, 6-0, 6-2.
• Pfeiffer forfeited the No. 3 doubles match and the No. 6 singles match
