N.C. Wesleyan Downs Pfeiffer Women's Tennis

Misenheimer, N.C. (March 30, 2019) – Visiting N.C. Wesleyan swept the doubles matches and won three of the four contested singles matches in straight sets in an 8-1USA South win over the Pfeiffer University women's tennis team on Saturday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

Haylee Dixon was the lone Falcon winner, as she downed her opponent in a shortened No.3 singles match after N.C. Wesleyan's Giulia Zanetti retired while leading 3-1.

The Falcons lost the Nos. 1, 2 and 4 matches all by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

In the doubles competition, NCWC won 9-0 at No. 1 and 8-2 at No 2.

The loss drops Pfeiffer to 4-6 overall and 1-2 in league play.

Pfeiffer will host Meredith on Saturday, April 6 at 1:00 p.m. at the Knapp Tennis Center.
