Box Score Pfeiffer Women's Lacrosse Falls in Season Opener at Guilford
Greensboro, N.C.. (Feb. 15, 2020) – Junior Gabby Bosak scored five goals while senior Meagan Bourque had a pair of goals and a pair of assists, but it was not enough as Guilford College downed the Pfeiffer University women's lacrosse team in their season opener for both teams in Greensboro on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
After falling down 1-0, Meagan Bourque tied the game with a goal at 25:46 on a free position shot. Guilford would then score twice in less than a minute to take the 3-1 lead. Bourque then made it 3-2 on another free position shot at 23:07. Two more Quaker goals pushed their lead to 5-2. Gabby Bosak then scored her first goal of the afternoon at 17:46 on an assist from Bourque to close to 5-3.
Guilford would go on to score five more goals while Bosak added one for the Falcons, providing the 10-4 halftime score.
Second Half
Guilford went up 11-4 early in the second half, but Bosak responded at 25:29 to pull Pfeiffer to 11-5. Guilford then scored two more to push their lead to 13-5 before Bosak added another goal at 16:59 to make it 13-6.
Guilford would score two more goals, at 15:05 and 10:34 before Bosak tallied the final Pfeiffer goal at 2:43. Guilford scored with 30 seconds to play to provide the 17-7 final.
