Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Sweeps Randolph, 9-0
Misenheimer, N.C. (Feb. 22, 2020) – The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team swept visiting Randolph by a 9-0 score on Saturday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

THE BASICS
Pfeiffer claimed all six singles matches in addition to the three doubles matches to notch their second-straight shutout win of the season. Pfeiffer downed Johnson C. Smith by a 7-0 score earlier in the week.
Against Randolph, senior Raul Ruiz won his match at No. 1 by a 6-0, 6-3 score while teammate Benedikt Pfeiffer won the No. 2 match over Alex Kulviat, 6-2, 6-4.
No. 3 singles say Alex Taylor win 6-1, 6-1 while Phillip Conaway also won by the same 6-1, 6-1 margin at No. 5.
At No. 4 singles, Dylan Masters had little trouble, as he dispatched Jose Merhej, 6-0, 6-1.
Senior Braxton Harris was the only player to not surrender a game, as he swept his match at No. 6 by a 6-0, 6-0 score.
In doubles play, Pfeiffer again swept all three matches, with Ruiz and Masters winning at No. 1 by an 8-5 margin. Trey Speight teamed with Taylor to win 8-2 at No. 2 while Thiago Machado and Pfeiffer won their No. 3 match, 8-0.
BACK ON COURT
Pfeiffer will return to play on Feb. 29 when they travel to Brevard for the first match of a four-match road trip.
