North Myrtle Beack, S.C.
Fresh off a pair of wins at Agnes Scott College and Wesleyan College, the Pfeiffer University softball team traveled to North Myrtle Beach, S.C. to play in the Fastpitch Dreams Classic at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex.

The Basics

Game 1 - Pfeiffer 9, King's (Pa.) 0
Game 2 – Pfeiffer

Records
Pfeiffer – 9-1
King's (Pa.) – 3-2

How it Happened
Pfeiffer jumped ahead 1-0 in the second inning after Addison York led off with a triple to left center field.  Junior Sara Brown then delivered a sacrifice fly to center field allowing York to trot home for the 1-0 lead.

Pfeiffer then exploded for five runs in the third inning.  Following a Hailey Myers leadoff walk and an Ashlynn Kennedy single, junior Kari Westerbeek laced an RBI single to left field.

Caiti Mickles then supplied an RBI double followed by Sara Brown's first homer of the season, a two-run shot, that put the Falcons up 6-0.

Pfeiffer added three more in the sixth inning on a three-run homer by Westerbeek.

Taylor Parrish earned the pitching win for the Falcons after working five innings while allowing just one hit while striking out five.  Kyndle Wallace came in for the final inning, allowing just one hit.

In game two, Pfeiffer dropped Eastern Mennonite by a lopsided 19-0 score in five innings.  Against EMU, Westerbeek added two more home runs to her total, the first being a three-run shot in the first and the other a grand slam in the second inning.  Westerbeek was also intentionally walked twice with bases loaded.  In all, she registered nine RBI in the game and went 3-of-3 on the game.  Against EMU, Hailey Myers, Reece Davis and Caiti Mickles each had doubles.

Kennedy got the pitching win in game two, going 4.2 innings allowing two hits and striking out five.  Wallace also saw one inning of action, allowing one hit and striking out one.
