Box Score Pfeiffer Women's Lacrosse Comes Up Short in Season Opener at Ferrum
Ferrum, Va. (March 5, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University women's lacrosse team opened the 2021 season with a 14-1 setback at Ferrum College on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
Ferrum scored three times in the first four minutes of play. The Panthers would then extend their lead to 7-0 before Pfeiffer's Meredith Manson (Auburndale, Fla.) got on the board with 2:19 left in the first half.
Second Half
After leading 7-1 at the break, Ferrum scored seven more times in the second half and limited the Falcons to just five shots in the second half, taking the game by a 14-1 score.
Inside the Box Score
The Falcons were limited to nine shots on the afternoon, with Julia Barbato (West Palm Beach, Fla.) leading the way with four shots. Sophomore Alexis Murriel (Gastonia, N.C.) had a team-high six ground balls and had three caused turnovers.
Falcon goalkeeper Jordan Pendergraft (Apex, N.C.) managed 11 saves on the afternoon in the loss.
