Bob Jones Gets 3-1 Volleyball Win Over Pfeiffer

Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 20, 2022) – Visiting Bob Jones University took a 3-1 win over Pfeiffer University in a nonconference volleyball match on Thursday night in Merner Gym.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
Pfeiffer senior Mattie Burris (Misenheimer, N.C.) had 15 kills and hit for an efficient .700 percentage in the 3-1 setback.  She also had five block assists and a pair of digs.

Fellow senior Madison Honeycutt (Arroyo Grande, Cal.) was the only other Falcon in double-figures, as she finished with 13 kills.  Honeycutt also had nine digs, which was a match-high for the Falcons.

Setter Kylee Mayberry (Harmony, N.C.) dished 28 assists while teammate Kira Suttles (Morganton, N.C.) had 23.

BJU got a match-high 17 kills from Katherine Hoopes.

Pfeiffer will host a USA South quad match on Saturday, Oct. 22 in Merner Gym.  Action starts at 10:00 a.m. with the Falcons hosting league-leading Southern Virginia.  Pfeiffer will close the day with a 4:00 p.m. match with Mary Baldwin University.
